Macquarie University is a campus of 30,000 students set in Sydney’s North Western Suburbs. It’s a very leafy campus, and a very relaxed atmosphere.
One of the greatest challenges we face at Macquarie University is that it’s a comfortable middle-class campus. Students that arrive at Macquarie expect that their great answers to live are going to be found through their career, through their relationships, through material gain but what they don’t know is that Jesus is the only way.
The motto that we have at Student Life here on campus, is that we want everyone to know someone who truly follows Jesus. We talk about that a lot and we discuss how are we going to make that happen on campus.

I remember reading a few years ago in the vice chancellor’s yearly letter that they were looking to setup a research centre with a medical school. It’s in the works but I don’t know if it is up and running yet.
