Australia announces Scholarships for best Indian/Asian students

- The Australian Government has announced the Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Endeavour Awards to provide scholarships for the best university students from Australia and Asia.
- In 2008, there were 97,000 Indian enrolments in Australia.
- The Australian government is committing $14.9 million over 4 years to setup this scholarship program.
The Endeavour Awards are the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit based scholarship program providing opportunities for citizens of the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in any field of study in Australia. Awards are also available for Australians to do the same abroad.
