As long as: - (1) You want business skills to add to an existing profession. This is specifically designed for Engineers, Scientists and Technologists. - (2) You will be mainly using what you know in Australia. Although most subjects provide a solid background that can be applied anywhere, there is a definite focus on Australian Law, Legistation, Government controls and Accounting Practices. This could be one disadvantage of the Edinburgh if you are unlikely ever to actually go to the UK. - (3) You aren't interested in using the MBA to create a massive contact network, but this is the case for all the above listed MBAs. If you want to move into business for business's sake, you need to look at the AGSM in Australia, or one of the top 10 schools in the US or Europe, but expect to pay through the nose for it. The Chifley MBA has delivered exactly what I want, which is to add broad-based business skills to my profession as an Enterprise IT Infrastructure Architect, for a reasonable investment of time and money. I’m well into the Chifley MBA, and can recommend it as an excellent value-for-money MBA.
